Another parent mentioned that after getting so many stares and questions, they made up a card explaining their child's disability similar to this. Great idea, and so cute too!
Thanks! We've been passing out THE PURPLE CARD for almost 4 years now. We have about 30 girls carrying the purple power! :-) It helps so much to have a quick thing to hand out -- and people really hang on to these.
I was at the movies with Brooklyn this summer and a middle school girl comes up and says "hi Brooklyn!" She looks up at me and says I keep Brooklyns Purple card on my locker and tell all my friends about her! We are raising a generation that will be WELL educated on Rett Syndrome! WOOHOOO!!!
